Going To Pieces Quilt Co.
Hey Everyone. Here's a little reminder that beginning next week, May 1st, we are closed on Sundays until October 1st. Enjoy the summer when it finally arrives! I do believe there is hope that we will soon see warmer weather! And now we should be making bright quilts, tablerunners and toppers to decorate our houses and patios! Get to work everyone! We have lots of bright fabrics in the shop to help you out!
Well, well, well, the months have slipped away from me again! Time flies by so darn fast! I was in Arizona for 10 days at the end of January and then off to IL to care for my grandsons in mid February and here we are at the beginning of March!
The year started with a bang. So many of you visited during our annual anniversary celebration in January that we broke every record in the book for sales! Your support has been incredible and we so very much appreciate it.
In February, we had an extremely successful Snowman Dash with three other shops. Once again, you, our faithful customers came through and we had a record week of visits and sales.
What this all means is that we are adding lines like crazy to the shop! You will find new fabrics every week, new patterns and new samples!
Our bus trip to Rosemont is filled already and 50 lucky ladies and gentlemen will be heading there on Friday, April 13th. Wonder what we'll all find new there? It's a great trip for sure.
Joanne and I have had great visits with our fabric reps and all we can say, is wow, there's some great things coming. We've now ordered through July and all our holiday fabrics are ordered. The new Christmas lines are absolutely gorgeous and will begin arriving already in May. Yes we know you don't want to be thinking about winter and Christmas so early but, if you don't get it right after it comes in, you may be disappointed! Sad but true! It starts to sell immediately and we'll be sewing up some really beautiful samples and all will be kitted.
We will be at the Evergreen Quilters show this coming weekend. We will also be vending at the EAA show in Oshkosh in July and then also the Darting Needles show in early October.
In between all that, there will be events with other shops and lots of classes to look forward to.
Don't miss out on our new blocks of the month. Watch the newsletter for them. We've sold out of all out current bom's and are looking for more to peak your interest.
That's it for now everyone. Keep sewing. We know spring is coming so don't slow down those machines. Even while we garden, we can find time to sew small kits!
See you all soon.
There's so much going on at the shop, it will take me awhile to share with you!
First off, yes, we are a shop being featured in Quilt Sampler Magazine in the fall! The magazine hits the stands on Sept. 6th but you can pre-order the magazine from us for $6.95 plus tax. We are taking orders now for both the magazine and our featured quilt. Our quilt is called Santa's Magic and you can view pictures under the Quilt Sampler tab on this site. It's an adorable 39 x 39 inch wall hanging. A bit of applique and a bit of piecing. It's a great holiday quilt to display! Get your order in now as once the magazine hits the stand, we're sure our kits will be gone. The kit can be preordered. Cost is $79.95. If we ship it's an additional $10. We've had a great experience working with Meredith Corp. for our entry into the magazine. We think you'll enjoy seeing our shop in a national publication! Woohoo for Appleton and the Fox Cities! Thank you to everyone that let Meredith Corp know about us. We so appreciate your confidence in our shop!
Next up is Row by Row! It's off to a great start already. You may now purchase our kit which is $19.95. Please remember that you must visit our shop to get your row. We are not allowed to mail them out as of this time so please don't ask us to do that. It's against the rules and we don't want to be dropped from the Row by Row Experience for non compliance! If you want to see all the Wisconsin rows simply go to Rowbyrowexperience.com and click on WI and all the rows will pop up along with the license plates.
Our row is called Swing and Dance Like Nobody's Watching. Sandy did a great design job as always. Our license plate says Swingin Quilter following our tire swing theme. We have plenty of kits cut and enough fabric to do more so won't run out this summer.
Next we want to let you know that our holiday fabric is arriving! We have 4 lines by Moda, one from Henry Glass and more! And as always, we buy the entire line along with patterns to make sure you can make whatever you want! No messing around with just a few bolts of a line. We need the entire line! Again Doug Leko did a great book for Holly Taylor's Town Square line and we have kits of almost all the designs. Samples are displayed in our sample gallery and also just on our gallery shots on this website. Check it out!
Halloween fabrics will be arriving shortly! We've order two adorable lines for this year. We still have some great Halloween from last year's lines so check out the fall section in the shop!
We've searched out new patterns and have set up a section up front in the shop for the newest selections. Sharon Rambo does a great job arranging our patterns for us! With over 2000 patterns to choose from, you'll never run out of projects!
Kim Diehl's What Nots Club 5 will be starting up soon. We're going to be cutting kits to be available in August. You must sign up for this club so make sure you do so if you want it. It's become a very popular club so don't wait to sign up!
We continue searching out new blocks of the month for you all. In our newsletter you'll see what we have currently, along with a new BOM starting in Sept. If you want the newest Marcus BOM, don't wait! It's going to fly out of the shop when it arrives! It is gorgeous and that's all I'm going to say about it here!
Check out our special events tab for happenings in Sept.! You will not want to miss out on our Sept. 16th event! It's going to rock the quilting world in the Appleton area!
Now it's time to head to my sewing machine to finish a sample for the shop. Once again we want to say a huge thank you to all our loyal customers and friends. We wouldn't be where we were if it weren't for all of your support. And our wonderful staff can't be thanked enough for all they do to help me and Joanne as we continue to grow the shop.
Where has the summer gone? It's almost time for school to start! Time just flies by. Very soon, the road construction will be over, the orange barrels removed and life on the street will be normal again. We want to thank all of you for your wonderful continued support of our shop during the construction. Thanks to you, we didn't miss a beat and were able to continue to bring new fabrics into the shop. We are loaded with new fabrics, samples and patterns!
Don't forget about our barbecue on Friday Sept. 15th. It will be well worth your trip to see us. Details are in the special events section of our webpage.
Check out the latest pictures of the shop. We've been hard at work reorganizing the shop and we know you're going to love what you see when you walk through the door. It's not easy moving racks and thousands of bolts of fabric but it's well worth it to see a new layout! We love it and we know you will too!
There are so many new samples in the shop, we can't keep track of them all! There are kits for all of them but as usual, the sell fast so don't miss out if you want one!
That's it for now. Check out the newest pictures in our gallery!
